SPOTLIGHT ON Ellen, interviewed by Portia
What is your spirit animal?
The animal I most connect with is a koala.
What is your favourite food?
Falafel! I love falafel…
What did you want to be when you were younger?
Ummm…. I wanted to be a comedian I think (laughs)
What is your favourite breakfast cereal?
Nutrigrain. But I ate it too much, so now I don’t like it as much anymore.
How old are you?
Have you ever been pulled over by a cop?
I personally haven’t, but I’ve been in the car as a passenger when the driver got pulled over.
Why do you like working with young people?
Because it’s fun, and different. I don’t know (laughs). Mainly because it’s fun.
What is your favourite genre of music?
Alternative or rock.
What school did you go to/where are you from?
I went St Mary’s in Manly, and St Luke’s for a year. Then we moved to Melbourne and I went to High School there.
What do you do when you work? What’s your favourite part?
Talk to young people. Play games with young people. I run the NEST volunteer group that’s all about nutritional education and cooking. I also work on our school holiday program excursions which I really like.
