Mosman Youth Services are looking for young people aged 12-15 who are interested in exploring issues for young women in the community and exchanging ideas to identify possible solutions for action.
In the 2017 MYVOICE youth consultation, body image was ranked first place for females as a key issue. Furthermore the consultation revealed that increasing spaces where young people can come to find the information and support they need and address would support body acceptance and resilience to body image.
Thus the first Female Empowerment Focus group will discuss ways to make the Youth Centre even more welcoming for young women. Sushi and drinks will be provided for those attending our first discussion on:
