Mosman Youth Centre is an LGBTQIA+ Safe Place – we aim to provide a safe and welcoming place for all young people. We are committed to embracing diversity, and we encourage people of all genders, sexes and sexualities to access the programs and facilities at Mosman Youth!

Whilst we do not currently facilitate our own LGBTQIA+ group, we encourage you to check out these fantastic ones in the area:

GLAM – LGBTIQA+ Youth Support Group
Northern Beaches Council 

GLAM is a social support group for young people aged 12 to 21 of diverse genders and sexualities. The group meets one week night a fortnight and has a social and educational focus. For more information about the group, click HERE.

Headspace Chatswood, Lane Cove Council, North Sydney Council, Mosman Council and Northern Sydney Youth Health Promotion

Chatswood Youth Centre hosts a fortnightly LGBTIQ social group. This support group provides a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for young people who identify as being LGBTIQ. For more information about the group, click HERE.

QLife

QLife is Australia’s first nationally-oriented counselling and referral service for people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and/or intersex (LGBTI). QLife provides nation-wide, early intervention, peer supported telephone and web based services to people of all ages across the full breadth of people’s bodies, genders, relationships, sexualities, and lived experiences.

Coming Out Australia

Coming Out Australia is a community focused website to provide information, resources and interactive activities for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people about “Coming Out”.

Freedom Centre

Based in Western Australia Freedom Centre is run by young people for young people using a peer support model. Peer support is where people get support from other people who share similar experiences.

Wear It Purple

A student run, not-for-profit organisation that exists to support young people (under 24) who identify as sexuality and/or gender diverse
