School Holidays

Get involved in some fun activities with Mosman Youth over the school holidays. Activities are for high school aged young people and students in year 6 to hang out with friends in a safe and inclusive drop-in environment. We run a variety of activities and workshops such as art and creative workshops, games, wellbeing sessions and more. 


Spring Youth School Holiday Program will run Monday to Friday from 26 September to 7 October, excluding the 3 October Public Holiday.

Week 1: 26th - 30th September

Monday 26th September - Tie Dye Day

Drop In 11am - 5pm | Activity 12pm - 3pm @ Mosman Youth Centre. Free to join
Kick off the Spring by coming along to our tie dye session! We’ll be making a bunch of groovy designs and colours to suit your style, so get ready to be creative. Registration required including shirt size - limited shirts available. Feel free to bring your own white shirt to dye if you prefer.

Tuesday 27th September - Dungeons & Dragons Design Day

Drop In 11am - 5pm | Activity 2pm - 4pm @ Mosman Youth Centre. Free to join
Back due to popular demand, we’ll be delivering an immersive day of Dungeons & Dragons. Starting at the Youth Centre, design and dress up as your very own fantasy adventurers. After exploring the realms of worldbuilding, mapmaking and dungeon mastery, we'll be having a tasty D & D themed feast! You'll embark on exciting quests with your characters and develop a healthy thirst for adventure.

Wednesday 28th September - Dough Day! Pizza & Donut Making

Drop In 11am - 5pm | Activity 12.00pm - 2.00pm @ Mosman Youth Centre. Free to join

Deep dive into the kitchen as we learn how to make two family favorites from scratch – pizza dough and donuts! Using an array of ingredients, you’ll walk away with plenty of tasty treats and the knowledge of what it takes to make these baked delights for you and your family.

Thursday 29th September - Drop In  

Drop In 11am - 5pm @ Mosman Youth Centre. Free to join
Today is all about you and your mates as we open for drop-in, with plenty of mini tournaments run throughout the day. We will even have prizes up for grabs for the winners on each console or tabletop game, so come along and see if you have what it takes to be the ultimate champion.

Friday 30th September - Movie Night + Pizza (Themed!)

Drop In 12pm - 4:30pm | Movies 4:30pm - 7pm @ Mosman Youth Centre. Free to join
Theme - Childhood Nostalgia. From Star Wars to Dr Suess to Disney, come as your favourite character from a nostalgic book series, T.V. show, movie or fairytale. Movies will be chosen based on group suggestions and a democratic vote. There’ll be prizes given away to the best dressed based on creativity and adherence to the theme. So grab your mates, get out your best costumes and enjoy a chill movie night - popcorn & pizza will be provided, free of charge. Drop in from 12pm, movies from 4:30pm.

Tuesday 4th October - MAD Therapy

It’s time to get extra creative as Lesley from MAD Therapy will be hosting a fantastic art workshop for us. Focusing on portraiture, participants will be delving deeper than just self-portraits, by adding elements collage and other multi-media to help bring the artworks to life. This combined with our theme of the week being, wellness and wellbeing, perfectly sets the tone for the week ahead.
Be sure to register quickly as this workshop will have limited spaces available.

Wednesday 5th October - Music & Jam Afternoon

Today is all about getting in tune with your inner musical mind. It’s also a great opportunity to have a jam session with your friends or fellow music makers and/or learn the basics on a few of our very own instruments. The Youth Centre has a great selection of instruments to choose from but feel free to also bring your own instrument of choice. We’ll have the Hub Space as a dedicated jam studio for all to utilise and enjoy.

Thursday 6th October - Garden Goodness

Get in touch with nature and connect with the land, soil and all things green! Come along to learn all about edible native plants, plant a few different species and have a bite to eat after we’re finished with the garden. Our garden guru Chris will guide you and you'll leave with a renewed connection to mother nature and knowledge of the natural world.

Friday 7th October - Scenic Photo Walk

Drop In 11am - 5pm | Activity 2pm - 4pm @ Mosman Youth Centre. Free to join
A scenic afternoon of sightseeing and shooting as we walk to George’s Heights then down to Balmoral. Bring your phone/camera and take the best photos for us to evaluate back at the Centre. The best photos will win a prize! We'll be dropped by the Community Bus towards Georges Heights to start our photography adventure. The Centre will be closed whilst we are out and about - make sure you are at the centre by 2pm at the latest before we head off!

Our school holiday programs (online and in-person) are facilitated and supervised by youth workers, with trained facilitators. All external facilitators require a cleared Working with Children Check and to adhere to Council’s Child Safety Policy.

Our programs are “Drop-In” in nature, meaning participants can come and go as they please. Young people will be supervised when participating in programs while at the Youth Centre, however a young person may decide to leave centre at any time.
