School Holidays

Spring holidays will have the Youth Centre open as a Drop-In space for young people in school years 6-12. Along with the usual resources and activities available, we will be running activities each day from 2pm. Have a sneak peek into the activities we have planned below:

Please note that School Holiday Drop In is supervised in the same way as Drop In during the school term. This means staff are available on site however young people are free to come and go as they please.

DATES: 30 September – 11 October 

OPENING HOURS: 12PM – 5PM, Workshops from 2pm.

WEEK 1 – Holiday Drop In Activities

 MON 30th September –  Grilled Toasties & Badge Making

Deck your backpack out with some DIY retro badges! Get your creative juices flowing with an afternoon of funky patterns and designing followed by grilled gourmet toasties.

 

TUE 1st October –  Pancakes & Clay Project 

Join us for some afternoon feast with a game of trivia. We’ll be covering games, anime, maybe Netflix? Give us some of you trivia quiz and we’ll make sure to include it.

 


WED 2nd October – Pita & Pot Planting 

Green thumbs are in luck! We’re spending the afternoon potting some cute plants. The perfect addition to your bedroom decor. Then, we’ll be tucking into some pita for lunch.

 

THU 3rd October – Sushi & Board Games Day 

Monopoly, Twister and a whole host of other cult board games will feature in an epic tournament of both wit, wiles and skill. Afterwards get stuck into some tasty sushi!

 

FRI 4th October – BBQ & Games on the Village Green 

Join in on the ultimate picnic! with a BBQ, ball games and more! The perfect kick-off for your weekend.

WEEK 2 – Holiday Drop In Activities

MON 7th October – Public Holiday (CLOSED)

 

 

 

TUE 8th October – Chocolate & Tea Making 

Chocolate. Nuf said. Get your hands dirty as we make our very own chocolate and experiment with a few fun recipes. Wind down during the rest of the afternoon with a hot tea and cosy up on the Youth Centre couches.

 

WED 9th October – Candle Making

Scented candles are an easy way to spruce up any space! Create a relaxation vibe with some floral scents or go bright and zesty with citrus.

 

 

THU 10th October – Coffee Making & Movie Marathon 

Start your day off with a buzz with our coffee making workshop! Then take your cuppa along for an afternoon movie marathon with some of your favourite flicks.

 

FRI 11th October – DIY Skincare 

Work on your healthy glow with our DIY skincare workshop! Using natural ingredients and scents we will be creating our own beauty products.

      Hi Damian,

      For our School Holidays we have two different programs where one is paid and the other is free to young people! Keep your eyes out for our upcoming Spring Holidays where DROP-IN is free for young people in years 6-12.

      Hi Susan, if you click on the “bookings for spring break 2018 open now” (purple font) it will open an new tab with the booking form. You can also click on “School Holiday Program” (green font) and more details for each activity along with a link to the booking form can also be found.
