The Youth Centre will open in the first week of the July School Holidays for Drop In.

School Holiday Drop In at the Youth Centre will run from 9 – 13 July (first week of school holidays) so that young people can enjoy the Youth Centre and all it has to offer during the break. Along with the usual resources and activities available at Drop In, we will be running workshops during the Drop In period each day the center is open in the holidays. More info on these workshops is below! Holiday Drop In is open to students in years 6 – 12. 

School Holiday Drop In is supervised in the same way as Drop In during the school term. This means staff are available and on site however young people are free to come and go as they please.

DATES: 9-13 APRIL

OPENING HOURS: 11:30AM – 5PM, Workshops from 2pm.

MONDAY 9 July – Job Ready Skills

Looking into landing a new job but don’t know where to start? Get the inside scoop on the types of skills that employers are looking for and different ways you can learn these valuable workplace skills from 2-3pm. Drop In will run as usual from 11:30am – 5pm.

 

 

 

TUESDAY 10 July – Terrarium Making

Learn how to make a DIY terrarium (yours to keep), in this fun and easy workshop. Terrariums take almost no effort to maintain and are an easy way to bring some nature into our everyday lives! This activity will run during Drop In from 2pm. Drop In will run as usual from 11:30am – 5pm.

WEDNESDAY 11 July  –   Music Production

Want to learn the basics of music production? Join us for a introduction to mixing and recording your own music at the Youth Centre from 2-3pm. If you have a laptop with garage band or any other music production software, be sure to bring it along! Drop In will run as usual from 11:30am – 5pm.

 

 

THURSDAY 19 APRIL– Art Mania

Tap into your creative side and make your mark at the Youth Centre from 2-3pm. Enjoy all the benefits of a  colorful painting session with all materials provided for you! Drop In will run as usual from 11:30am – 5pm.

 

 

 

FRIDAY 20 APRIL– NAIDOC Celebrations and Special Guest – LAMBROS!

Join us for an afternoon of celebration and education of Indigenous culture during Drop In from 11:30am – 5pm. Following the Youth Centre will host an incredible live performance from a local Indigenous performers – Lambros! They will be playing their highly distinct blend of blues, soul, rock and Indigenous sounds with us from 5-7pm.
