Melinda Tankard Resist, well-known advocate, writer and speaker, will be talking about these types of issues on Monday 17 August. She’ll discuss how negative messages in media can distort the way that we view ourselves and our relationships and will provide us with tools to help us be resilient and develop physically, emotionally and mentally in a healthy way. This is a talk you do not want to miss out on, you can bring along your parents, your grandparents, your brothers, your sisters, your friends – this is a forum for everyone. You’ll even get the chance to ask the questions you want to, need to, ask.

Melinda Tankard Reist is author/editor of four books, a newspaper columnist and regular guest on TV and radio programs and the co-founder of the grassroots campaigning movement Collective Shout. She has been named in the Who’s Who of Australian Women and the World Who’s Who of Women and is an ambassador with World Vision Australia, Compassion and The Raise Foundation.
