“Two Hands Project is a collaborative approach to dealing with plastic pollution: take  30 Minutes and Two Hands to clean up YOUR world anytime, anywhere” (http://www.twohandsproject.org/).

The team from Two Hands will be visiting the Mosman Youth Centre to give a talk on plastic bags and the detriment they cause to our environment. They will provide information about plastic bags, their use in Australia, the difference between biodegradable and degradable, micro plastics, the environmental impact of using plastic bags in everyday life (on wildlife and more generally), case studies where plastic bag reduction has been most successful, and give participants the opportunity to tackle common reactions and questions about reducing plastic bags in an advocacy context.

Members from the View Finders environmental sustainability group, as well as Mosman High’s environmental group will be attending, however the event is open to other young people interested in learning more.
