Kitchen to Table



F.R.E.S.H volunteers recently collaborated with local Mosman seniors to create an authentic Italian banquet meal! Led by a professional chef, the newly formed cooking buddies whipped up an absolute frenzy in the kitchen creating antipasto and bruschetta appetisers, individual pizzas as a main and topped it off with gooey chocolate brownies with ice cream for dessert. As the group tucked into a decadent meal, food author Claire Mullins facilitated a lively discussion about Australian food and culture. The night was a great success! And an awesome community building experience for young people and seniors to share their food and cooking experiences.
